Steven May from GCS got 3 weeks for same hit on Rockliff. Buddy got 1.

Nice to see they’re following the precedent.

LOL, and they classified it as careless instead of intentional.

Running past the ball and hitting a bloke counts as careless? WTF…

I don’t understand how it can be careless when he takes his eyes off the footy and looks straight at Edwards before ploughing into his head with his shoulder. That is as intentional an act as Barry Hall jobbing Brent Staker.

Too much emphasis is given to what happens to the victim. May gets 3 because it was lights out for Rockliff yet Buddy only gets 1 for his because Edwards is ok to play out the game. I would much rather a system that is consistent. If you are giving May 3 then Buddy must get 3 as well on the basis he could have finished Edwards for the match. It’s just pure luck he didn’t.

Buddy had to make a late choice: put his head down and kill himself (possibly drawing a free), open his arms and head clash, or protect himself. He did the latter; he could have slowed very slightly, didn’t, and that’s why he gets the one week.

Tippett is just an outright sniper and that’s the one you should complain about.

If he was side on the deliver the bump, I don’t really see why he couldn’t have got side on to pick up the ball, thus protecting his own head and not hitting someone else in the head.

Franklin has received 1 week. That's 4 down to 3 with a guilty plea down to 2 with a big name plea down to 1 with a Sydney plea.

How can Baguley get a week for that? Lonie went down like a wet fish. The claim that he was hit in the head is a joke.

To think Buddy got the same punishment is just amazing.

Must be challenged.

I’m glad common sense applied with the errant boot incidents. Be harsh to get suspended for accidentally being upside down and neither were discussed by the MRP.

Bryce Gibbs left scratching his head along with everyone else

if we don’t challenge Bags suspension we are as weak as ■■■■.

How he even gets cited for that is a joke. He hit him in the bicep FFS

suck my ■■■ MRP

There’s no contact to the head, just crap work there from the tribunal

Good stuff, Yossarian. When you see the body go with the punch and the head stay where it was, it’s pretty damn obvious what happened.

I hope they do a Doc Reid and tell ‘em to get farked.

I’m concerned for Lonie. He needs to get checked out by a doctor if his head is located on his bicep, that’s pretty deformed.
