Wire’s first three albums are all kinds of awesome. 154 especially. Played it to death when it came out.

I think Pink Flag is a reasonably straight forward punk record with arty elements. I can’t imagine the Anti-Nowhere League/UK Subs crowd getting much out of ‘Chairs Missing’ tho.

Just read that Ally Spazzy has been caught out posting Neo Nazi BS under an alias online. The other members of the band have essentially confirmed what was written in the age. Sad.
She runs a music school too! Hope she wast spewing that ■■■■ to the kids.
Anyway, no big loss. The Spazzys were horrible

Back when I was at Uni in early 2000’s…. My house mate was mates with them. They used to stayed at our place when they were on tour.
Even back then, the 2 sisters used to get into massive fights with her. One night before a show they had a punch on. I imagine that would happen pretty regularly.
Tbh Ally was the most approachable of the band and was always relatively nice, but wouldn’t be surprised if there was more stuff going on under the surface. That seems pretty clear.

How do you go from pop-punk princess to committed neo-Nazi? Alt music to alt right? … scary ■■■■ (fascinating tho) … reminds me a bit of the Mullumbimby wellness hippies who get their truth from Malcolm Roberts and George Christensen. Some weird bridge from ‘independent thinker’ to hard-right ideology.
