Just finished watching Freakscene – The Story of Dinosaur Jr.
Not exactly punk but with punk ethos.
What a great ■■■■■■■ band. I last saw them at the Croxton 3 years ago and my head is still hurting.

That was a really good album. In fact the band……. Fletcher, Byron, & Randy absolutely turned it on for this album. It’s the most Pennywise sounding album for 20 years.
But I love Jim. His voice is quintessential Pennywise. All together, Jim, Fletcher, Byron & Randy…they are the whole package.
But that was a good album…… and I’ve had many arguments with my mates, who didn’t like it because Jim wasn’t the singer.

Dinosaur Jr are a Sensational band.
J Mascis is a f*cking genius.
They played at Golden Plains a few years ago, they had 2 - 2.5 hour set…… it was f*cking bliss. One of the most enjoyable sets ever…… they got better as the set went on.

I think it’s their best since Straight Ahead.
Of course Jim is the better voice for the Pennywise sound but as a big Ignite fan this album was always gonna be a winner.

Pennywise have a very special place in my life, as they were really the inspiration for my career. I was so passionate about the rights and discrimination of young people …. It pushed me in to Social Work.
Even now, often when I’m burnt out or questioning why I do it…. I put Pennywise on, and it reminds me.

He was on RockWiz one night and they had his name card spelled Jay Mascis.
Pennywise are one of my favourite bands. Ive not really listened to the Zoli album. Its not PW to me. Love Jim…such a great guy too.
Ignite are back…still no idea who is singing…dont believe it will be Zoli…he was off doing some dad rock band
Agree about not having Jim, that it’s just not the same.
But if you listen to that album, the music is probably the most distinct Pennywise sound for a long long time. Fletcher & Byron stepped it up in the absence of Jim.
