Think he morphed into Jackson Maine…Ironically…who was based somewhat on him
Uncharacteristically upbeat for Low…
Kinda…kinda treated it as a curiosity…
But…yeah-nah, it’s decent.

Cheap Trick always felt that Tom Werman’s production had not brought out the best in their songs for the “In Color” album. In the late 90’s they found themselves in Steve Albini’s studio and had a few days of downtime, so he recorded them playing through the entire album for the hell of it. The sound of a guitar band playing together in a room… so much closer to the essence of Cheap Trick… Sadly, it was never mastered or given a proper release.
