Iāve been on a big 70s run the last few daysā¦maybe because it was the time where I really started getting into music, but for me it was the most magnificent period in musicā¦so many superb albums were releasedā¦including this one that Iām currently listening to.

Disco was never really my thingā¦but I did have a listen to K.C. and the Sunshine Bandās self titled album the other day (part of my ongoing journey of listening to albums Iāve never heard before) ā¦it brought a few memories backā¦songs that Iād completely forgotten about. 
Disco is very much not my thing, howeverā¦there are obviously tracks that transcend the genre, I Feel Love, Stayinā Aliveā¦
Crossovers like I Was Made For Loving You (but Not the Stones).
And lots of guilty pleasures like Born To Be Alive and I Love The Nightlife or whatever it is.

Heād be one of the great one-hit wonders, wouldnāt he? I have legitimately never heard another song by him. Without Googling Iām not even familiar with even the title of another of his songs.
Itās a toss-up between him and Promises as to which is more āone-hit-wonderyāā¦

I thought you would like disco given some of the 80s dancier songs youāve mentioned and I hear the connections sonically that come across.
For me itās all discovery and itās probably music that never came to Aus unless it was a poppy hit.

Iām currently listening to a band called āVon Hertzen Brothersā who Iād never heard of until this morning when they were mentioned in an article I was reading.
Their album āLove Remains the Sameā is the 446th first time listen for me this year (so far).
Of those 446, Iāve only added 23 to my playlistā¦but thatās ok as 23 is better than none.
