NBA 2025/2026

Okogie waived , which in the circumstances isn’t surprising. But the fact that those are the circumstances is somewhat surprising. The signing of Dinwiddie, having already snaffled Colin Sexton, and the resultant filling of one roster spot is somewhat bewildering . For a squad that still lacks a defensive edge but has a lot of shooting guards, I’d have thought Okogie offered something we need. No doubt we were trying to find a new team for him , but the guards market is a weird one atm.

Managed to get a look at coverage of the Hornets win over Dallas, Kon looked so much better after quarter time , once KJ and Sims stopped trying to take every available shot. There’s very good versatility and craft to this kid, he’s certainly not just catch and shoot, definite signs that he could run the offense as a creator for others as well.

Giddey still unsigned. Would’ve thought he’d have recommitted to the Bulls by now…

Meh, there’s being a lot made of the “negotiations”, but he has no other destination this off season and they would be foolish to not lock him down, even for trade value of they don’t want to build around him.

It’s a matter of if he’d rather take a bit less than he’s worth for 5 years assured income or play a year on less and then negotiate as an unrestricted free agent.

Either way, he’ll be at Chicago next year, and I’d imagine probably signed for multiple years on slightly less than he wants.

Only Chicago can offer him around $30mil. I think the next best he could get on the open market is $23mil.

Both parties are waiting for the other one to blink but I agree he’ll end up staying.

Beal buyout agreed , heading to the Clippers once waived. According to Shams, Beal has agreed to reduce his buyout by 13 million , Suns will stretch and waive the buyout contract and Clippers will sign him for two years on 11 million.

Suns now 3 mil under the tax penalty and aprons.

Cost us 96mil to do it but we can now aggregate salaries and have no trade restrictions. Good move.

Dame Time is back in Portland! :exploding_head:

Wow. 42 million over three years, the first of which he won’t play and the other two you’d be sceptical about how a 36yo returns from an Achilles. The money in NBA is simply astronomical.

He’s got bills to pay as well you know

How this all translates to real NBA remains to be determined. But I’ve seen enough. Mothball Kon.

Damien Lillard supposedly going back to Portland

I’m surprised that there’s been no mention of Tyrese Proctor’s 35 point game for The Cavs v Kings.

That’s a pretty fair effort.

Maybe because it’s summer league.

And yet there are other comments above relating to Summer League.

I would of thought that there would be some interest in a young Australian guy putting in the sort of performance.

You could’ve just said how goods proctor and kick start the discussion

If you’ve got nothing useful to add, you could mind your own business.

How goods proctor?
