Of course.
I just always find it interesting how much better clubs have much smaller training bases.
We always brag about how big and brilliant The Hangar is, and It’s made no difference.
Of course.

We’re gypsies.
Wow that article should be endorsed by WADA. There are a whole lot of lose links in the chain to conclude that The Hangar is at risk.
bring on a top golf, so all the lefties that post in the golf thread can go down to the hanger.
It’s not fit for purpose.
Even the gym would need to be moved.
Have a look at the facilities that are at the Hangar one day and see if they can fit into Windy Hill. Just the area with basketball courts, indoor football oval and the height cannot be facilitated at Windy Hill.
Carparking at the Hangar is pretty rough during an event, but it’s nigh on impossible at Windy Hill and does negatively impact on the nearby community.
The only thing that Windy Hill does better than the Hangar is the Social club and how it interacts with the nearby activities and community.
For the day-to-day football development program, it is way beyond its used by date.
ohh let dan andrews shutdown essendon primary and we can just take over there.
We could also stamp the buildings all the way down to the roundabout Chinese style and kick them out before they are demolished, re-developed and re-purposed.
That’ll go down splendid.
we should build an oval around the bowls club and not let them in, western wall style.
I call bullshit on it happening.
So they going to move a freeway, houses, and businesses built nearby.
The airport has plenty of room to move on the other side for expansion that affects hardly anyone or infrastructure already in place!!
who has the spongier floors? us or wwe?
yes
but i’m sure we’ll still shtpost our way through it
If we Hangar tough we’ll force the airport to move, not us.
this guy was unavailable for comment

-edit- neither were these two

They can’t kick us out. It’s the vibe.
Fark what a beat up of an article, maybe, what ifs, no comments (no ■■■■ like they are going to tell you).
It’s a master plan that needs to be released every 5 years (so changes constantly, just ask people about what happened with the third runway) projecting out the next 20-30 years. The club site is on the fringes of the land, and there is still absolutely miles of open space out there, with a lease you would assume is rock solid.
If they have room for a golf facility, then they don’t need it for critical airport use, they are just another tenant.
That is the most important thing…I agree.
They started the concept of Tulla Airport around 1960, so perhaps the whole Tulla thing is past its use-by date.
I was a kid living in Pascie Vale when the flight path for Essendon went over our heads. You get used to it, but when Tulla happened in 1970, it was out in the sticks and we were happy. The idiotic way development around Tulla has been allowed in just crazy, but I guess that is typical of airports all over the world.
Tulla could move north, by acquiring land
Of course it isn’t…but “Essendon” in the article makes them write about it. Classic HScum.
Om all for this. I live 1 min from there ![]()
No room to reshape it i dont reckon
