So even though there are heaps of vacancies on the board they are going to put up ex player Welsh and current director Muir up for reelection(Muir probably had too).

So no opportunity for members to really vote on the make up of the board I presume the rest will be appointed not elected.

In a word disappointing.

I seem to recall people saying that Football Director isn’t a role all clubs have on their board. I wonder if it will turn out that the external review, which had one of their streams as looking at the make up of the board, has decided to do away with that role.

I agree on the ex-player part for sure, and parachuting Sheedy into an elected spot was a ■■■■ move. On Muir, he’s an elected board member running for re-election. Outside of introducing term limits, what’s the club supposed to do?

For years I have believed Hird would be perfect as the Football director on the Board.

I don’t have too much of an issue with it, he’s under 70 years old so is a good change for the board.

I thought the previously speculated Football director role would have been a bit of a stretch for him considering his business commitments.

I thought it related to the EFC Constitution requirement to have at least one ex-player on the Board .
The reason why Wellman and Madden could not resign from the Board at the same time ?
