Don Pyke? Might be one of those “under the radar” guys who has a solid assistant coaching pedigree. Coached in his own right at WAFL level with Claremont, assistant at Adelaide under Neil Craig and current assistant at West Coast with Simpson as a specialist in “strategies, stoppages and structures”. From that you’d gather a pretty intimate knowledge of those principles, maybe even the brains behind how the Eagles set up?
Also, “Don’s Dons” has a nice ring to it!

read somewhere last year that some think Sumich isn't articulate enough and that sounding like a country bumpkin has held him back from getting a head coaching gig, doesn't seem to be an issue for Beveridge and I hope it's not an issue for us if he turns out to be the best candidate.
