I think the confusion is that the AFL did change the rules because of Daniher, it just didn’t affect Daniher. There was an interview on Road To The Draft years ago with the AFL head of talent, I think during the 2015 season when the points system first came in. He said explicitly that they started working on the points system halfway through 2012 because it looked like Essendon could finish top 4 (lol) and Daniher could be the number 1 pick. Never aiming to specifically target Essendon that year, but it was the springboard for it.

The actual team the Daniher-inspired rules affected first was the other team the AFL famously hates and constantly undermines, the sydney swans.

I was trying to see how our alumni Sweid was going in his pre season over in Freo by looking on BF.

I got:

  • Comment that Huss will follow him over there after his rookie contract ends
  • Tonne of crude & then defensive debate on his religious beliefs
  • Then if having a go at one’s religious beliefs was bad, some guy posted this - Sweidy is going to be the next Hayden Ballantyne - imagine saying something that Nasty … Ballantyne… :face_vomiting:

 How many Sweids Freo get?

Dunno how he’s travelling now but he did have a soft tissue injury around Xmas. Assume he’s probably back now, but good to see he’s still very much an Essendon lad.

Well from what I hear Lachie Neale will be back in Freo taking his toxicity there. If Fre are silly enough to have him.

Well if his kids have moved there, it’s a pretty decent chance.
Not sure in what world it would make Fremantle silly though.

The world in which he is bad to have around the club. Bad for culture.

Ah yes. What a horrible culture Brisbane has. Made just so much worse for having Neale lead them to 2 flags.

Know much do you? Spoken to his player manager and others?

Yes, I do. Let me update you. Brisbane has won the last 2 premierships. Diabolical isn’t it?

So that must mean that everything is wonderful and perfect there hey?

It’s a hell of a lot more evidence than you have brought to the table to the contrary. Which is currently sitting at nothing.

It’s funny how you want me to prove that it isn’t, asking me what would I know… yet you are the one making the accusations. Only you.

So please tell me about all of your contacts and inside word? You know Lachie do you, his teammates, his manager? If not, perhaps you should jog on.

There’s a big difference between on field and off field relationships in footy. Even if Lachie has lost the trust of his Brisbane teammates which is completely possible given some of the stories - I’m not sure how this translates into him being bad for Freo should he end up moving back there.

It’s a workplace, not a local football team.

I’m guessing most of his teammates actually don’t give a ■■■■ what he did. He’s good at football, they want to win premierships, he helps with that. That’s all they’ll care about.

There were reports about some WhatsApp messages blowing up other relationships wasn’t there? So some other players may have cared

Good on you keyboard warrior. As I believe I said I’ve spoken to his manager and other player managers. So far a lot more than - they won the premiership - everything must be super dooper.

Jog on junior

What do they say?

That was the year before. Messages and photos of the EOST got out and multiple partners saw them.

Very silly boys.

Let me just say his behavior has lead a path of destruction in both office and playing group. At least that has what has been passed to me by people I know.

Lol junior.

No you didn’t, actually, say a single thing prior to this post. Memory fading old boy?
