Shocking old age memory there… i am questioning my whole life right now!
Eyre looking great today for Calder, also Nguyen is super busy, Kako looks nice but a bit quieter. Eyre and Nguyen very impressive.
I hate how the better they look the less chance we get them.
Wasn’t Tim Watson the younger brother of Larry Watson?
The current model encourages signing players to the academies and then doing as little as possible to develop them. It’s profoundly stupid.
Is it still after pick 40 this year? I thought there were indications of a return to sanity.
Naim with 3 goals against Sandringham. Eyre prolific but ball use more up and down compared to last week.
I’ve seen all these guys at least half a dozen times, i personally don’t think Taha has any AFL attributes, but he gets selected in all the rep teams, so i dunno what I’m missing. In order of talent I’d go:
Kako
Nguyen
Naim
Taha
I haven’t seen Eyre, so can’t speak on him.
It’s being reviewed. No decision yet as far as I know.
Hopefully a sensible result to reward teams and not penalized them for picks past 40!!!
AFL has to seriously consider the timing of the decision with respect to how much any change could disadvantage us but provide an advantage to Collingwood, Hawthorn etc,
Naim 12 disposals kicked 3.2
Eyre 19 disposals
Kako 10 disposals kicked 1.0
Nguyen 16 disposals
Taha 9 disposals (struggling as a mid should play forward)
Yep Taha is a forward, kicked 4 today. Calder looking decent this year they haven’t looked this good for a few years now
Their forward line is pretty much just the NGA crew isn’t it. Or have they started giving Kako more on ball time
Correction he kicked 2 and had 32 disposals so yeah he shut me up Eyre with a quiet game 13 disposals, Naim with 2 goals and Kako/Nguyen fairly quiet
6 tackles isn’t bad, either.
Is he a 20-40 prospect or after 40?
That Calder ruck is a big lad
I wouldn’t get too excited about taha. I saw every game he played last year across multiple competitions, he is a bit slow and uncoordinated.
I hope he makes it, but i just don’t see it, unless he has a massive leap this year. Hedge your bets on kako, he is like a dalhaus type player, a little nuisance, with great goal sense (next year’s draft).
Of course with the current setup, the better a NGA prospect is the less there is to get excited about.
