Losses hurt
But cut them some slack
They've had 16 months of hell topped off with the SCs
Toughen up
Yeah they've had 16 moths of hell, but they get well paid to do their job, which is to play a sport...
We are asked to Back our Boys and invest financially and emotionally into the club, but I feel like we are getting very little back in return.
I will always love the club and always support them, but I need to hear them come out and say to us supporters that they're sorry for what they've put us through.
I also want to know why our forwards have been allowed to be manhandled for years (Daniher should have got at least 5 free kicks today and Ryder/Belly a couple each) yet as soon as our defenders try the same things they get pulled up.
I know I'll get canned for this but I don't care, I am over it!!
PS. Fark Carlton and the rest of the teams in the AFL, they can all go to hell and take the commission and the umpires with them!
It's a lousy feeling after the harsh week. No excuses, bad kicking for goal loses games. Yes, there were other poor efforts around the ground, but in the end we kick straight we win the game.
and win comfortably....but it happens.....next week we will kick 21.4
Essendon supporters will find all the excuses in the world for this loss, but there is no excuse for professional footballers missing so many easy set shots for goal.
17 behinds, FFS, and lose by a point.
We have had a crap forward line for years. When will they fix it?
That TBell miss 15 m out almost directly in front was was unforgivable.

I know we could have played certain aspects of the game better.
I agree that our forward entries should be better, and our forward-line coaching is still lacking.
But the fact is that we lost because we didn't convert easy shots at goal.
We had plenty of opportunities. Real opportunities, not boundary line hopes.
We lost because we had about ten opportunities to win the game, and we missed all of them.
It's not about Hocking's missed tackle.
It's not about that turnover from the half back line.
We had plenty of easy chances to seal the win, we missed them all.
I know that's tough to accept, but that's the reality.
yes we missed easy oppotunities that cost us.
But those turnovers and stupid decision making cost us all over the ground, not just today, every ■■■■■■ week, and it continues to happen.
You can accept a turnover if a guy has no other option to kick to, and decides to kick it long to a contest, as an example.
It's unforgivable that still so many of our player choose the wrong option and the wrong time.
Even if we'd had of won today, the way we played all over the ground was no where near the standard that is needed to be a contender, and against better opposition we'd have been belted, which we will surely be over the next month, esp if Adelaide plays anywhere near their best.
The problem I see is that we won’t finish in bottom 2 or top 4. We are stuck in nowhere land and probably finish somewhere between 8 to 12 on ladder - doesn’t give us good draft pick priorities.
We've complained about the forwards for a long time but to me it's mainly the midfield. No real pace or great kicks. Every player in there is virtually identical. We've got about 6 or so with below average pace and very average skills when under any sort of pressure.
Hurls efforts in the last were just awful. Really needs to learn to kill contests.
Licha has been awful since the first few matches.
Melksham I had high hopes for. I was wrong.
TBC since he's come into the side has been woeful.
Zaharakis was unbeleivable. Ran hard both ways, he did everything. Had a bit of pace. If we had another player or two like him we'd be much better.
I agree both that Zaha has good pace and disposal and also that we haven't got any guys like him. Or Goddard. Or Stanton. Or Zerrett.
27 shots on goal says we had a fair few chances.
Nothing to do with the midfield. Got schooled in the ruck, and still generated 69 entries.
This year is death by a thousand cuts…today to me is unfathomable after getting 5 goals up in the third quarter and getting run down by ■■■■■■ Melbourne!!! I’m still not over the st.kilda loss yet either…and other small wins that quite frankly felt like losses our performance was that ordinary!!
I have sympathy for what the players are going through, but when you break it down they are getting paid good money to play 22 games at 2 1/2 hours a pop, can’t accept them being not switched on when us in the real world slog our guts out for 40+ plus hours a week with the pressure on constantly…so over excuses
Should have won by 5 or 6 goals but kicked badly. Sh* t happens. The effort from the players was really solid given they got sc letters 2 days ago. Time to back our boys and not be a bunch of fickle wimps - hope the players don't read the bullshit that gets posted here. It's going to be a tough few months with ASADA and the team may be up and down from week to week. Not a good time to turn on the club right now!
maybe it would be good for the players to read their supporters views on that performance. Cheerleading will not turn this club around. The players let US down today.

We must be honest . We are years away from being a good side . It will not happen with the current batch of players .We have recruited poorly for a number of years and the culmination is an on ball division of Stanton , Myers , Howlett , Heppell and Hocking. The weakest in the league and the worst Essendon has had in living memory. We have only had a miserly 2 good players in the last 12 years in Fletcher and Watson
Wtf happens next week when we play a reasonable side?
Forget this season
Play all of aylett, edwards, fantasia, raynor, KAV!, gregory, merrett, merrett, gleeson, NOB and any other kid or borderline guys we have till seasons end
I dont care who gets dropped for them as long as melksham is one that goes
