It’s a bit silly Australians criticising her choice IMO(given we made the same type of choice), but yes I do agree maybe it sucks for past Olympic sporting legends. Mind you I think none would trade an Olympic gold medal for the opportunity for sparking up the flame.

A girl from my wife’s work was in the initial Softball squad. They went over about a month early for a camp, trial games etc and those that didn’t make the cut were sent home two days before the opening ceremony. She just missed the cut so had to fly home and is now doing her 14 day quarantine
