Oops, maybe a $2 Million fine for "bringing the game into disrepute"?

Not sure if it’s across the board,. . but there’s certainly some situations where it’s absolutely banned to sleep with someone you are the direct superior of, …

The timing is just too suspicious. First, the leak to SWMNBN a few weeks ago. Then the Hird/Norm Smith leak, the next day 2x execs sacked. Gill off to the Tour de France in next day or so

Yep that’s the norm in most organisations, as it should be.

There is a huge span between consent and the act of rape. There are many variables between these 2 actions which are unethical and immoral.

But ya know…women feeling unsafe, uncomfortable and disrespected is getting in the way of old fashioned sexism in the office. That damn political correctness police.

Did he find random pubes?

I agree, that’s my point. I wasn’t replying to anyone in particular, I just got the sense reading this thread that there was a general feeling that the public story wasn’t worthy of them losing their jobs. It is absolutely worthy of them losing their jobs over.

Of course that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot more to the story, especially the timing of it all.

IMO casting the cause of the resignations as inappropriate relationships is just spin to cover up an AFL culture of thuggery and bullying, which might be given more airing following the review. Demetriou 's mate Catterall left the AFL in a hurry after claims of sexist bullying were made. Must have been serious if Demetriou could not save him.

Wonder if Wilson sides with the Sisterhood and exxposes and rants about this like the shrill beast she was over Jim, or remains an AFL flunkey over this?

What about Sam Lane QC?? Will she go to town if this has been sexist misogynistic bully boy crap and risk getting the shaft from the AFL’s teat?

After all, it could be a very legal case??

What a conundrum for the AFL harpies this could be.

It’s all ok, folks.
Fearless Leader Gil has said that the two men involved have owned up to their responsibility ‘in a way he feels is commendable.’
Let’s move on then, eh?

Governence.
Won’t somebody think of the children.
The head of any organisation should know exactly what is going on with any and all employees.
Governence.
What sort of organisation is he running, one goes around punching people, and 2 others stick it somewhere they shouldn’t.
It’s like they are running a black ops party bus or something.

Gil is in an untenable situation and has to resign.
yada yada.

What are the odds that two senior execs, at the same time, had inappropriate relationships with younger staff members? A bit like Essendon acted alone and nothing else to see here.

Imagine if there was a text or emailfrom Gill to HR along the lines that all interactions between staff needed to be compliant with appropriate company policy and any regulations or laws governing workplace behaviour. And that if there was any possibility of any activity occurring which might cause a non-compliance with the regulations or legislation that the details of the activity be documented in advance to the person in the organisation with the most qualification and responsibility in relation to ensuring compliance. Because if he sent such a message and then something had occurred, he’d be 100% responsible for it wouldn’t he?

Agree something doesn’t add up - in the Worner/Harrison case - Tim didn’t get sacked and is still in his CEO role. Usually boards sack CEOs in this type of case. The two AFL ‘dicks’, whilst still execs are not at CEO level.

Always F ***** Lying.

The QBE CEO got fined $500+k for failing to disclose an office relationship. It was a clause in his contract.
