We need to get some good young talent into the club after taking very little over the past few years. Pick 25 would be way over and there will be good young players still there.
I’m actually not too worried about our Kpp situation. Sure we absolutely need depth but in terms of our best 22 we have 2 outstanding bookends for the next 8 years while Hooker still has a lot of good footy left, long enough to challenge for a premiership. Yes in an ideal world we would like a second quality marking target alongside Joe, but I don’t think it’s the end of the world if we don’t have one. As long as we have other good goal scoring options in the small/medium forward department. I base this a lot on my confidence of how good Daniher will become. He’s a future Coleman medallist if you ask me.
So if the club is confident they can pickup a 4th best 22 Kpf or Kpd in the next 2 years then I’m not overly worried about investing heavily (top 10 draft picks). E.g. Brown/unknown VFL chb this year or free agency next year.
