Overrated/Underrated Sitcoms and the science of comedy

For me i enjoyed Big Bang Theory was really funny the first 4 seasons but then it dropped away and i stopped watching it

I was a fan.
They’re a great straight man/manchild duo.
The first episode is a bit dodge, but after that it’s good.
But I like their stand-up, too.

First 2 seasons of Two and a Half Men were great, then it got absolutely terrible.

Out of the the shows that have finished- I would love a reunion series or episode of Married With Children.

There was talks a few years back of bringing back with Married With Childern but in animation on Adult Swin. the orginal cast agreed they would voice the characters but im guessing with Christina Appelgate dealing with MS put a stop to that

I truly believe Twitter has killed comedy in a big way. Now everytime someone says a slightly risque or off color joke- people jump on and try to ā€œcancelā€ them. Then others join and it becomes an avalanche

Yep tell me about it a lot of popular stand up comics now are afraid of writing of jokes in case they upset some one in the crowd and it’s get plastered all over social media

Cancel culture can get farked if you don’t like it then don’t watch

I liked the two Ronnies, although it was a bit dad jokey at times.

ā€œI say, you seem to have some cake in one ear, and some jelly and cream in the other.

I beg your pardon?

I’m sorry, you have to speak up, I’m a TRIFLE deaf.ā€

And I have a vague recollection of it constantly being hidden in a giant salami knockwurst

Did ā€˜Particularly nasty weather’ originate from that show?

Becker - very good writing

on topic for Danson… Cheers. Excellent show, with outstanding writing.

Never seen Cheers apart from a few scenes here and there.

But I love the show Frasier.(haven’t watched the new one as I’m afraid it going to destroy its legacy)

Not the greatest show but Danson was excellent on The Good Place. His character is almost the polar opposite of Becker
