and some “everyone is too offended by everything these days” hot takes
First few seasons of Community were brilliant. Great ensemble.
it’s the modern “what’s the deal with airline food” isn’t it
dear everyone in this thread who has lamented the death of edgy comedy: go and watch andrew schultz’s infamous on youtube and then go and look up how not cancelled he currently is

That show was streets ahead
If what they said were true, ■■■ Town wouldn’t exist.
But it does, and it’s ■■■■■■■ funny.

It’s so wrong it’s right.
Wotabout Steptoe and Son
Under or overrated?
Yeah, that was probably the last movie I watched and had uncontrollably laughter.
Or Love Thy Neighbour.
Or Kingswood Country.
As a traditional sitcom I liked Kim’s convenience.
Also has anyone said Kath and Kim? That’s gold
For me, she’ll always be Alex Keaton’s second girlfriend.
Clerks: The Animated Series and That’s My Bush!
Two shows way ahead of their time, ended before making it to a second season
I assure you, Yes Minister craps all over Utopia. And at least 99.9% of all TV.
The books of the episodes are also great.
Luckiest girl at the Springsteen concert, for me.

Never seen Cheers apart from a few scenes here and there.
But I love the show Frasier.(haven’t watched the new one as I’m afraid it going to destroy its legacy)
It’s going OK… but it has huge boots to fill. Note that Cheers/Frasier/FrasierV2 have different producers etc.
The first season of Cheers was a legit mix of comedy/drama.
The original Frasier is arguable the best-crafted sitcom ever; they set up escalating farce and confusion so effortlessly. And contrary to one comment earlier about USA vs UK, they also do some physical humour: notably that one epic wordless opener with Niles.
This isn’t specifically a sitcom, but no-one has made me laugh more over the last 20 years than Karl Pilkington.
Serious laugh at loud in tears moment. Disturbingly for many of these I’ve been driving and it ends up being quite dangerous.
In tv land, he’s had An Idiot Abroad was good and the Ricky Gervais Show where they animated the podcasts.
But I’ve only just recently started listening to their XFM stuff and I reckon it’s the best of the lot. That’s truly when he was just being himself.
