My luck of the draw story is that the ordinary parcel sent by my brother in Ballarat on 15 October arrived at my post office(1) the following Monday.
The express post package from Queensland that contained live(2) lacewing beetles larvae to deal with he aphids in the garden was dispatched on 5 October and then went MIA. I submitted a lost item enquiry on 18 October, and it seems to have made it from Ipswich to the North Melbourne sorting centre on 19 October, but no movement since.
So did your shipment of dead lacewings arrive yet @megahertz ?
The book i was hoping to spend the weekend reading was sent to the local distribution centre in Wantirna South on Monday. That got my hopes up, but it hasnāt moved since. $&@#!%!
Donāt get hung up on the track and trace mechanism.
You are shown only the bare minimum.
Some freight gets sent to other facilities or even other states to be processed and these movements are not able to be seen by the customer
A friend of mine tracking their parcel, bought online from a Melbourne store to be sent to Geelong, has it showing as going to the Gold Coastā¦
Bizarre if thatās the most efficient route.
Can be a number of reasons why this would happen.
Missorts are possible or more likely with the Victorian Covid situation some PDCās and sorting facilities are either badly short staffed or some parts closed completely so freight is sent to states or facilities that can process it
Fair enough, it wasnt really a whinge, just a bit WTF is happening.
All I know about transport is that someone picks it up, takes it somewhere and then drops it off. (hopefully not crushed)
Got a dispute with my courier broker company at the moment, I sent a box and they picked up and delivered then whacked me a $36 charge telling me the box was bigger than I estinated. I actually photo the box at the time because a previous one got lost and they wanted me to describe it, so Now Ill just phot it anyway.
So now they want me to send them photos of a tape measure on the actual box. I dont obviusly have the box now, but I showed a reference in the background of the photo that clearly shows it cant have been what they say it was.
If they dont cop this Im going to take them to small claims. I will beat them easily and add $500 cost to the claim which you are allowed to do. I will claim lost time from work to go to court, lodging fee ect.
ā ā ā ā them
Have to send some important paperwork from the US to Australiaā¦United States Post Service is completely out of the question, so out of UPS or FedEx which would be my best option for delivery in Australia?
Itās getting to be more trouble than it worth buying overseaās unless it an really big saving.
On another note, is there a method that allows you to shop on the US version of eBay and Amazon.
