Parcel delivery can do better. Discuss

I’m waiting on two sizeable shipments which will be my reading material over the christmas break. (Yes, it’s Dungeons and Dragons books I backed on Kickstarter, I’m a giant nerd and there’s NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT BWAHAHAHAHAAAA)

One shipment arrived in Sydney on December 2 after being dispatched from Seattle in early October. I’m cautiously optimistic about getting this one before Christmas. The other spent six weeks sitting on the docks in Seattle before being dispatched on November 11. That one I suspect I won’t be seeing for a while…

Yeah. We did good letting the Toll boss run our footy club during a major crisis, didn’t we? Galaxy brain smart move on our part. :frowning:

IIRC he sold out of Toll a long time ago.

Yeah, I posted a series of Fin review articles about it a while back. It was a dysfunctional shitshow when he sold out of it.

Japan Post haven’t helped either and Holgate is trying to right the ship but isn’t having any success

Luckily everything is fixed now, because we’ve promoted the guy who was head of the audit, risk and integrity committee in 2012-13.

Can’t write this ■■■■…

Well, at least in the meantime the playing list benefited from the cultural strength and stability offered by the guy who coached the Weagles while their entire midfield was hoovering up drugs like an industrial-grade Dyson in Walter White’s lab. So there’s that silver lining at least.

He didn’t do so bad there.

What he SHOULDN’T have done was [go in his private jet to] recruit Worsher.

For what it’s worth, I’ve had to buy the same item (Lego) from multiple sites to guarantee I get it on time.

Then I simply return one.

Probably why the system is buckling.

Aus Post has been excellent this year. There, I’ve said it.

Amarex can go suck…something prickly and chomp down on it.

My rule of thumb of 4/5 arriving banged up is still holding true

IF it ever arrives. Add about 20 or 30 days to estimated date of arrival and you’ll be roughly in the ball park. Useless.

Australia Post are excellent. I am very happy with them. Will be giving my postie a box of chocolates next week.

Parcel delivery generally has been outstanding over the last two years, under absolutely unprecedented pressure.

Anyone whinging about something taking a few days longer than expected given the Covid context is an insufferable whinger, imo

Yes, that’s right, I forget that on here Hird and Thompson are still gods, and the problem only started with worsfold.

Hahaha.

Well UK items ordered through Amazon UK is on a 50% strike rate now. I.e they’ve lost half of my orders.

Most recent one tracked to a uk warehouse and hasn’t moved since.

Amazon did a full refund and reorder though. Can’t complain about that.

If Star Track is involved at any stage of distribution, don’t hold your breath - 21 active cases at Star Track Tullla listed today.

I ordered some books from Sydney and they told me 21 business days to get to Melbourne. Lucky they weren’t Christmas presents.

Yeah, I shelled out a bit extra for Express Post for my niece’s Christmas present 10 days ago, hoping that’d help it get here by Christmas. Estimated delivery time was four days, and according to tracking it still hasn’t left the mail centre in Adelaide where it was first processed. Not looking promising.
