Parcel delivery can do better. Discuss

Very minimal disruption to the system at this stage

Got a piece of jewellery made and sent to me from Sweden within 4 weeks. I reckon a week to make, and 2-3 for delivery is amazing.

Only problem is the design didn’t turn out as well as planned…:frowning:

Hi everyone. Just popped in to this thread to say that Toll logistics is the worst.

I ordered something from the US it arrived in 10 days. Tracksuit pants from northlands in Preston to Fairfield took 3 weeks with australia post. However, they arrived 2 days after I wrote a complaint message, so they could sign off that my complaint had been dealt with.

PS a Christmas card took 10 days to get from Fairfield to Carlton :joy:

Ordered a present for my brother’s birthday back in October. His birthday is in early December. Thought I’d allowed enough time to get it before that date, only received the parcel Tuesday.

Sent a parcel by Australia Post Express from Perth to Melbourne last Tuesday morning. Actually made it to Melbourne that night! Sat at their delivery centre for a bit of a rest - just the next seven days. Was delivered on the Tuesday afternoon about 2pm to an empty residence (occupant out at the time) and not seen since. Happy Christmas to my 82 year old mum!

Yep.
Still waiting on an IKEA order put thru on Nov 6th.
Assorted cutting boards, so hardly a specialist item.

Will not order online from IKEA again, and I told them so in my feedback.

During lockdown I ordered something from IKEA. When lockdown finished, they still hadn’t shipped it, so I cancelled the order, drove down there and bought one off the shelf.

1hr wait on the IKEA customer service line to cancel an Order.
Fkn appalling.

My online review won’t be complimentary :grimacing:

I think parcel delivery is great.
I order stuff, then forget about it, then its a welcome surprise when it arrives.
My last 2 orders are from the UK, were placed like over a week ago, and predicted to come just before christmas, but given how busy these delivery guys are think its more likely to come in January.

Yep, my 3yo niece is definitely not getting her stuffed echidna in time for Christmas, Express Post or no Express Post :frowning:

She will probably hate you forever now.

She forgot who i was over the first lockdown, and I missed her learning to talk over the second lockdown. Bribery with prezzies was my last hope! :sob:

If she’s 3 now she won’t shut up and will also make more sense when talking. Hahahaha.

we expressed posted a parcel to VIC yesterday, now its postal lotto if it arrives before christmas.
usually gets there in 1-2 days. Given its to adults not kids, think they will get over it if its late…
They key is your able to say I’ve already posted it, must be AUS post fault if late.

If only you went for an Apple gift - latest offer is delivery within 3 hours

Some fine print involved in those conditions. Might be a few people get caught out
