Parcel delivery can do better. Discuss

Tail strike?

Lost hydraulics soon after takeoff and had to return to San Jose. Skidded off runway and ended up in the ditch next to the apron

Thanks for the heads up. I have a case running with Ebay at the moment. Tracking says delivered 27/4 but I have not received the item. Ebay currently adamant it has been delivered based on blind acceptance of tracking information which is very disturbing.

Yet another call to freight company yesterday has them finally fess up and verbally admit parcel is in the midst of being forwarded to a prominent local courier for delivery.

Tracking on freight company website still indicates delivered.

Update : After trying to fob me off to Aramex (for which they only created a label) PF Logistics have finally admitted the parcel is “lost”. Tracking on their website still indicates delivered. This leaves me in no mans land re a claim on ebay. So I have lodged a complaint against them with ACCC as this appears to be some sort of scam.

Wasn’t due to start back until Monday but after popping in yesterday to pick up my car and grab some stuff from my desk It seems I e walked into a absolute shitshorm and so I went in today despite feeling not the best.
I can’t stress enough that if people want stuff to arrive Christmas they best be getting done ASAP and for people in WA it might already be too late. We had increase road freight costs to WA by 40% to cover the current rail fiasco and I just can’t see a adequate resolution happening before the New Year

Are both east/west rail lines still out of action?

Yep. Unsure of opening dates yet.
Truck drivers are at over capacity with the extreme volumes of freight on the East Coast and no one wants to do East to West road transport as there just isn’t enough money in it. Aircraft are at full capacity and we aren’t putting any extra flights on to Perth as they too are needed in the Eastern states

They’re still doing a great job IMO. All my packages are arriving at a pretty reasonable pace.

Yes, Ace is making sure Radelaide is OK. Just don’t move any further westwards!

This morning was spent entirely getting freight to WA. Adelaide is being used a holding point of sort with flights and trucks bringing WA freight from the East Coast and then being sent via trucks to Perth. Probably got about 3 weeks worth of backlog though and a severe shortage of trucks so chasing our tails a bit currently

Still hoping against hope that a package sent 6 months ago from TX will get here eventually.

False modesty there, DJR!

I purchased some cycling stuff from Perth on Thursday morning and it arrived at my house in Sydney today …

Can’t complain

Fuc@&#% useless cu*#$.

Started sending emails to customers advising them that for certain methods of freight WA folk won’t see it this year and so they need to seek alternatives

Yikes.

@Aceman would the below indicate something may have been lost?

Where is it coming from/going to?

Ok I just refreshed again and saw this… looks like it’s on the way. Phew. I had just never seen that kind of notification before.

I wouldn’t trust the tracking for starters with those actions but I’d be 99% certain that the parcel has sat in our SYD facility for a week which is about standard for this time of year
