There’s times when issues or shutdowns at sorting centres mean it’s easier/cheaper/quicker to sort interstate.
also depending on what class of postage sometimes the tracking updates are on a huge delay, literally days to update as well, so things look like they’re jumping around when they’re not.
Or the data is is incorrectly inputted in the first place

I suspect that due to the conflict there are going to be some disruptions to the movement of goods from the UK and Europe.
Main air freight routes are through Asia but yes it’s going to suck in the logistics department for some time

Anyway, I’m wondering if I just be patient, and this thing is going to sit on the tarmac until it gets on a flight…OR…it won’t change until it’s made it to a depot (hopefully in Australia) and it might already be in transit.

Could actually be a number of things.
Firstly the data you see is less than 10% of data available so probably a few stages missing there but France being France there are always industrial disputes so chances are it’s still sitting at the freight terminal.
If it did manage to make it onboard it’s then a matter of whether it’s on a pax flight or a dedicated freighter which has multiple stops.
Once in Australia you are then at the whims or customs as to when it gets released here.
