Wouldn’t have Don McKenzie at #24…?
Wouldn't have Don McKenzie at #24...?
Heard a story that the big hearted macca helps out kids down on thier luck from a premiership buddy of his.
Was Merv 34? If not, I would go with Blumfield.
Blumfield played very few games in 34.Was Merv 34? If not, I would go with Blumfield.
Too hard to split a lot, so I’d name more than one in each number.

Thanks Mero.
Love this sort of stuff.
Can you clarify something...didn't Fields come back with another number?
I'm thinking 12 or 28.
Memory not what it once was.
Fields wore 28 when he returned.
This notes that Bomber missed the 88 season. Was he injured that year or was there a hiatus I don't know about?

Played the last game of 1987, didn‘t return till round 14 of 1989.
(don‘t know the answer, the usual EFC books don‘t mention anything)

Yeah, it's in the spreadsheet,
#1 1971 - 1977
#28 1981-1982

Knee reco in 1988 preseason.
After winning the B&F in 1987.
For those playing at home…
My records show that 5 current listed Bombers hold the records for the number of games played in a particular number.
Who are they?
(sorry if hijacking thread)
I’ll have a crack…
Start with the obvious one - Dustin Fletcher
I’m guessing the rest will be lower numbers, so:
Hocking in 39
Baguley in 46
Howlett in 40
The last one… that has me… is it Jobe?
Jobe
Yep.
- Watson 188
- Fletcher 393
- Hocking 119
- Howlett 97
- Baguley 28
Andrews was a better player than he gets credit for#4 Jobe
Tough competition from Baker and Wanganeen.
