Shorten could not lead if he was the head of a dress up horse.
Penny Wong is the best leader in that party, and she will not get the chance because there is no way the country would elect a gay Asian woman.
It’s sad.
With that being said my I’d still take billy over anyone in the other mob, but Wim is right, he is unelectable.
Like the Greens self interested deal with the devil on Senate voting reform, I reckon you’ve got it wrong there.
Except for the part about Wong being unelectable, female, asian and gay, … it’s a no win trifecta.
I was nearly going to start a poll on labour l/ship. I think there’s a few the equal or better than Wong.
Pliba, Burke, Chris Bowen, all have come on in opposition, and are very good figure heads.
Bill is very politically savvy, but he doesn’t have it. And until he stops saying uvver, & wiff, I don’t think he’'ll get it.
The lack of charisma is almost Abbottesque.
If Labour had a decent leader, or at least one more likeable, the Lib’s would right now be in a very bad way.
Shortens lack of appeal could be the one thing that saves them… if he can’t turn it around, & for what it’s worth, I think he’s trying.
He’s certainly coming to play in Parliament, & is scoring points, … we’ll see.
