Just pasting text of image location worked for me, above on iPhone.

If you’re uploading a file you need to at least put a dot or a letter in the post.

Like DJR said if you just paste the URL of an image (must end in .jpg, .gif or .png) it’ll appear automatically.

Yeah, … Rolo hasn’t adjusted the rules & method yet … but sometimes, (I don’t know what situations/browsers etc), you have to hit the post image button, then paste the link in the resultant pop up text box, then hit ENTER, then hit post comment.

Damn it, hate when people post while you write a post … you are aware of the described instances Rolo?? … I can’t drag & drop images, or just paste a link straight into the comment box … & I’m not alone.

It happens for me on F Fox, Pale Moon, & Chrome, have to do the above method, O/wise just the link appears, rather than the image.

just paste image url into text don’t need the url/linking media button.

e.g. http://i.imgur.com/4l2I13i.gif

It works the same on mobile for me, chrome android.

When you enter a URL to an image and hit ‘Post Comment’ the automatic preview that comes up will only show the link.

If you refresh the page it’ll load the image.

It’s just that preview that is wrong.

direct paste of image address, Chrome/Win

.

Pasting image address into pic dropdown box, with ‘.’

paste image address into attach image/file

Deckman theres nothing there, no link, why not just paste link into the body of the text. Its not hard.
