I reckon a pretty good and achievable goal for any draftee is play pre season games in your second season. For a touted draftee who has played senior footy I would say yeah it’s big red flag.
But he didn’t really do anything last year.

We’ve had just one chance and we blew it.
Edit: but would he have developed into the player he is, surrounded by the talent he has at BL, if he’d have played with us . It’s an unknown.

No way. He’s in the conversation for the most talented player in the league. He’d even look good playing for North.
EFC curse strikes again. Carlton have 17 1st picks in the draft and each season there’s a standout pick 1 you can’t miss, 2016 pick 1 was a lottery.
Still, we’ve absolutely butchered the pick on a short athlete with hopeless football skills & IQ, but who can speak well.
He’s out of contract this offseason, i’d throw EVERYTHING at Clugg to get him here and ease the pain.

Well there’s about 18.5 hours to go until it’s officially confirmed. Yes, confirmed at the end of the first quarter, that our season is officially over before it has begun.
What measures does one take to ease the pain? Self flagellation maybe. Bamboo splints under the fingernails. Chinese water torture. Listening to Barry Manilow. Red hot iron pokers to the eyeballs. A public stoning or a crucifixion maybe.
