I’d like perkins and Jones to kick a couple goals

We want to be where Collingwood and Richmond are. Gotta move to the G full time

Is there a list of full match day members?

I’m assuming the Hawkers have a few tassie membership options for example

And how the eagles carry that many members? The Perth stadium isn’t that big is it?

No injuries and hopefully a good look at some of the 1st and 2nd year players.

Honestly though, just to see that we have a clear brand/system that works. Not expecting it to be flawless by any stretch and we will probably show a bit of rust which would be natural at this time of year, but as long as I can identify that we are building something that represents a coherent game plan then I will be happy enough.

Yeh win or loss is not overly relevant as there will be multiple guys rotating and good players resting for periods etc. its all about them applying what they are getting taught and competing at a good level.

I’m very concerned at where our goals are coming from. I simply don’t rate Wright so I hope Jones can influence and contribute. I honestly think Hooker is by far our biggest goal threat, but will he play forward whilst we try and establish a long term development strategy? Realistically, you don’t want him up there if we are playing the long game.

I really don’t get why people are so passionate about winning practice games.

Sure we’d like to beat Carlton for some bragging rights… but it’s a nothing game.

It’s about practicing the new game plan, and getting some run through the legs. The score really doesn’t matter. Might aswell not have a scoreboard tbh.

We beat them last year in the equivalent match.

The women won their practice match 78-18.

It’s Fark Carlton.

What is wrong with you people?

Priorities are:

  1. No Injuries
2, Clear the cob-webs and get game time into Old and New
  2. Get the team cohesion and Game plan working
It will be rusty and scrappy. Not going to be greatly skillful.

They have a waiting list for match day membership for a start.

Surely not? Isn’t it only Essendon who treats their fans and supporters like crap all the time?

That’s what I read on here on a daily basis, so that must true. Right?

Why would Essendon fans talk/care about how other clubs treat their fans?

Yeah that’s the one I am keen to see us top. (Total full match day members)

I take the pies or tigers have the biggest?

West coast also have a large number of away supporters especially in Victoria.

For an interstate club, they get a lot of support at our home games… as do Sydney and Brisbane.

Tigers by some margin I’d expect.

Touche

Wouldn’t winning the game go some way to indicating the new game plan is effective and the team are applying it well?

Not about bragging rights it about building a winning culture.

If we won 3 premierships in a row I have no issues with not giving a stuff about practice games and taking it easy/experiment.

A club like Essendon needs to have some good form leading into rnd 1 we don’t want a repeat of the GWS game.

Will also keep the media vultures at bay early

imagine if it gets reported that nothing has really changed over the summer
