Yeah, I’d imagine he jumps on AA135 which would get him back to LA at around 8pm

Hope he is good at the God stuff because the Archbishop of Canterbury ain’t great at the crowning stuff.

Well, last week the majority of world Anglicans passed a motion of no confidence in the Archbishop of Canterbury…so…

That would include a large number of people in countries like Nigeria that still take some parts of the bible seriously though?

Wonder how all the non Anglican Brits felt when their King confirmed to defend only the Anglican faith . Token other faiths paying him tribute.
And it was so southern English in presentation , with the odd nod to other parts of the realm.

So who did we draft with our pick?

Including the ā€œgospelā€ singers singing a capella who had been reduced to an anglican hymn level of dreariness

I thought the same thing.

Brigitte Macron French chic, about the most stylish, Princess Charlene not so much this time.

They are manhole covers. I presume gritted to ensure they aren’t slippery for the horses

It wasn’t the majority of world Anglicans. It was a group of conservative Anglican bishops who are opposed to the idea of allowing unions of same sex couples to receive the blessing of the Church.

These don’t look like manhole covers. The ones on the side, sure, but these ones?

Anyway, i think the point of the (post is that for various reasons, a lot of of people are doing it particularly tough in Britain right now and it seems a little obscene to be parading a 2 million pound gold coach down the street when everything is falling apart.

The gathering included both lay members and bishops. And the two groups: GAFCON and GSFA represent the majority of world Anglicans (I’ve seen figures as high as 85% quoted).

Since the 1980s the majority of Christians have not been in the West, but in the global south.

Don’t disagree that people are doing it tough. Think that’s why they held it asap and shorter than usual.

I’d generally think there are other things that could be deprioritised to put wealth into the hands of those who need it than extremely rare events such at a coronation.
