Went to a lunch recently and 2 family members around my age couldn’t read the menu due to forgetting their reading glasses
My God-Daughter just turned 21
I made a Ferris Buellers Day reference in a meeting yesterday and no one knew what I was talking about. I doubled down and said ‘you know, save Ferris’
Blank stares.
i made a wolf of wall street reference in front of a team of 18-21yo-ish players that none of them got
that was me trying to be contemporary
Wow. That quick.
You wish this thread never existed as the title keeps reminding you.
Kids think the disturbed version of the sound of silence is an original.
thinks to self I know they’re getting on a bit, but I really rate Placebo’s recent stuff.
Their recent stuff:
You develop a new-found appreciation for a nice, solid, well-made handrail.
Mrs Wim included a clip of The Brady Bunch in a presentation and nobody in the room had ever heard of them.
‘Why is their grandmother dressed like that?’
‘Wait…they have a housekeeper???’
Yer well, 6 kids plus the dog (Tiger?)
Carol can only do so much !
lol. What does Carol actually do?
Also, it’s kind of weird that they don’t buy a new house.
Dad’s a friggin’ architect, and he has six kids in two rooms.
(yes, I know…so the story can happen).
Anyway, getting way off topic.
Edit: Also…noooo, Marcia, you have to sleep in the same room as Cindy.
Daddy needs his den.
lol.
47 years ago today I watched Tim Watson make his VFL debut vs the Tigers
If I’m remembering correctly, that den was huge.
Surely there’s a downstairs toilet in that huge house.
Also, Jan wouldn’t go for Marcia having the den.
I was there that day…the game was played at VFL Park which for me involved a tram from Bradshaw St to Essendon Station, train to the city, swap to another train to Glen Waverly, then a bus to the ground.
Watch the game and then do it all in reverse.
It was a prick of a place to get to (even when I got a car and could drive).
On this day in 1998 the last episode of Seinfeld went to air in the US. 26 years ago, or one Andy McGrath.
I drove my Vw Kombi van, which would not start to go home. So my mates caught your bus and train back to Essendon and I spelt in the car until the next when my Dad towed me home.
Don’t remember much but it was cold and lonely.
LOL. 40 is the start of life, it goes OK from there until you are 70 and then everything hurts, but it is all manageable with goods drugs.
Eldest grandsons got their red P plates .
There is a good reason why it was called Arctic Park.
