Review Round 9/2025 Ess vs Sydney (chickens in a bin)

So we have played 5 of the 6 bottom sides, and beaten all of them. That’s our 5 wins.

:grinning:

I think we will jag a win or 2 along the way

People can be happy with a win but still realise where there club is at. There are many things to be pleased about this year regardless of the win/loss column, and I’m happy with more wins than losses.

Gosh I do hope the club is looking to who will take over from scott, not going to get us all the way there for syre

But if you look at other sides outside the top 8 and there is no reason why we couldn’t compete with or beat them. They’re really no better than us.
The upside is we’re young and have a lot of potential.

Yeah. Our two games against Richmond.

I recon Carlton and Saints are gettable even Freo

Some of you clowns wouldn’t be content with anything but a10 goal loss…

If anyone here thinks Sydney or port are genuine bottom 6 teams, you know even less than the dribble you type suggests…

Maybe that’s why those teams are where they are.

The thing I find absolutely fascinating about this club, is that regardless of how many players we delist, or how young the team is, or who the coach is……. We never get any worse.

We also never get any better, either.

It truely boggles the mind.

We’ve been here before with shiel as sub.

Importantly though it showed Scott was willing to select to structure rather than seniority. I was pleasantly surprised that they picked Seh to play on a wing rather than juggling things to fit shiel into the midfield rotation.

I also think playing Seh allowed Martin to play with much more freedom pretty much going wherever he pleased.

The difference between Seh with the ball on the wing and Jones is chalk and cheese

Hopefully they beat us

Why

Classic Dodoro pick. Not too bad for delisting not good enough for a regular spot.

Fmd, Hayes does his acl because of the next play after McGrath plays on after receiving the chip pass off Redman from a point kick out and hits a Swans player on the chest. Half of his positive possessions hit Redman on the chest who proceeded to turn over half of those. Yes he had some good disposals but his worse far outweighs his best. We are not going anywhere with these 2 blokes. FTR i was rapt we took McGrath

Pretty bad night for Dean Cox. Imagine allowing essendon defenders to rack up uncontested possessions like that in the first half
