Now would be the time to go to war with awfl on something, part of our rebuild at some stage will need the club to claim it’s spine and position in the comp back, if it happens I’d challenge and then threaten the good ol’ court etc. stand up for the one guy who continues to shoulder this club in a meaningful way would mean plenty to the team.

It was probably the right thing to do but the football purist in me would have preferred Perkins go back take his full time and slotted it home. Even if he missed we were still more than 1 goal up with less than 1 min to go. Back yourself in.

It’s illegal to tank.
We are playing the damn kids.
If we win, it means the kids can play, therefore our position is improved.
If we lose, the kids need more time, and our draft position improves.
Some people here forget that the 18-22 year Olds need to develop well as our draft hand improves.
You don’t just get three years of high picks and turn in to the Harlem Globetrotters.
The draft is not the only consideration.
It boggles the mind that people think the only way to win is to only ever lose.

Spot on. And we’re in the fortunate position that with Melbourne’s pick we can get reward by winning games, finishing 7-12, and still getting a top four draft pick.

I would say we missed 4 clear best 23 players due to injury this week
Draper instead of Goldy
Ridley instead of Hayes
Parish instead of Shiel
Gresham instead of Day-Wicks.
The two big injuries are Draper and Ridley. But frustratingly, these losses are not impactful just because we dont have a good depth player to replace them - actually the opposite. Instead, Bryan and Hayes have themselves. Classic Essington
