Yeah I can understand that.
When you consider that we had some sort of illness amongst the players during the week, lost Cox to it, Parish out with calf issues and Goldy getting smashed, to actually get that sort of win is good. We didn’t play well but when won the game when it needed winning rather than just fall over the line. I suspect we took it a bit easier in the last due to some issues but the missed shots probably made it feel worse than it was.

Well I’d rather take an ugly big win than be in Ports current position. I’m sure there supporters went to the game thinking they’d win by a big margin.

A touch better than I expected.
For whatever reason, North match up well with our midfield and we don’t get the clearances like we have for most of the year.
They did Naldo slow down our rebound from the back 50 too.
Our pressure was average to good. We forced some errors, but North also naturally made errors as well. We just made less errors and didn’t let them get on a big run of goals.
Outside of the first fifteen minutes, we controlled the game, kept North at arms distance and did not really look like losing the game.
We exploited the 2MP matchup all day. Langford was well held. Stringer was his average self. Gresham was a bit average. Guelfi was good in the first half and did very little in the second half.
Goldy struggled against Xerri.
Our backline was solid. Some mistakes (goal square goals) but other than that, we did enough.

Frustrating game. Brad Scott talking absolute ■■■■ saying Goldie playing/training like a 26 year old. He looked gassed today; as he did last week rucking on his own. He can’t do it.

I also like to say that Langford wasn’t doing the lead outs to the wing this game, that was 2MP/ Guelfi today, so not sure how much of it was pantsing and how much is by our own design

It was like nails on a chalkboard all day. Umpiring, flat crowd, and just the little things didnt go our way. Bounce of the ball, simple errors, north just getting a finger on a ball to spoil a mark

Nodded off during half time due to the early get up. Blessing in disguise really. Very frustrating first half but seems like some improvement in the 2nd.
So they’d won 4 quarters in total this year, but they won 2 against us including the last where we managed to kick just 1 goal.
Apart from a 15 minute burst, we were absolutley woeful for the majority of the game. Smashed in clearances and had less disposals against one of the worst teams in history.
Wright and Caldwell the 2 positives. Everyone else was barely on par or below acceptable standards.

Pantsed and then molested every time the ball came in. Reckon he could and should have had at least three free kicks within 35 metres of goal. Different conversation if that happens.

For me, 40 points is better than I would expect honestly.
I’m just feeling flat because we looked a bit lethargic the whole game.

Thoght Lav was very good killed Zurhar. Probably one of our better plates. Made his usual couple of mistakes but otherwise very good
