So many ■■■■■■ responses to this game. Norths 4th lowest score of the year and sounds like we didnt really get out of second gear.
Take the win and keep building. 2nd on the ladder and a game clear into the top 4 after a 40 point win. 90% of you take that if its on offer before the game.

A bit of biffo from some of the north players, and right in front of the umpires and the north players get away with it. Spec Savers umpies, you need it.

I think we missed Cox today. He has being making good decisions with the ball and understands when to go and when to prop.

It’s not reasonable to expect to win every quarter by 40 points. But also, if you genuinely think us being second on the ladder is a caveat-free reflection of how good we are, I think it’s reasonable to expect not to drop two quarters to that mess. Especially the last.

What’s with duz?
Kick to kick on the ground after the game was hectic. I managed to not to get hit in the head but got more hard ball gets than the bombers when 2 little punks tried to steal my son’s footy but got it back and then went up for a specky and kneed my boy right in the back of the head and he went down like a sack of spuds. Promised him KFC for dinner just to get him up off the deck.i didn’t even take a breath writing that last paragraph hahaha.

It’s an interesting one isn’t it? We shut down their scoring despite how much ball they managed to get. Our defense and defensive efforts were there. Our attacking work was down but we still kicked over 100 points, something we have struggled with.

We weren’t quite on today, we lost players before the bounce, we had key players down, the umps played with a clear intent to keep the game tight, norf set themselves to attack the ball very hard and ensure they didn’t get blown away by playing taggers and not over committing Numbers forward. And we won by 40 points.
Take it and run.
Wright finding some form. Caldwell playing very well. Solid contribution from Perkins. Dominated inside 50s and scores from turnover. Key players to come back in. Plenty of positives despite a pretty low key performance

Yes, Laverde did some poor things today but outweighed that with really solid efforts. I’m not sure you win finals with that in the team but he did ok today (over all).
The real question here is we kept another team under 70

I thought goldy was good second half. Went from wrestling to jumping high and winning the centre bounce tap. Had more stamina than Xerri. Admittedly he was smashed first half.

A game to forget.
At least we won.
Atrocious umpiring. Never see so many players shaking their heads at the umpire.
Awful lot of holding and scragging by Norf that we are not used to and is usually eventually called. (Not today)
All of which I think played into our inconsistency.
Stringer in the middle in the third blocking players meant our midfield could finally get the ball.
Bank the points and move on.
