Great to see the future of the club stand out for the first time and drive that win. Granted Merrett was back to his usual form. But Sharp, Robey, Farrow, Huss, Day Wicks, Kondo, Kako, Clarke and Reid were very good tonight. Bryan also redeemed himself, was immense tonight…. albeit against a VFL ruck. Great for the young fans to see a win also. There is a faint heartbeat

The pressure was up and the enthusiasm was there from the start. What changed? Has to be more than just Parish out. Caldwell a new man. Merrett involved. Ridley had a crack. Redman hung in there.

What a great feeling to get a win!!!
Lots of positives from the kids. El Achkar, Kako, Farrow, Sharp, Day-Wicks…..
Our pressure matched or exceeded GWS’s. That made a nice change.
On the negative side, it was a very low standard game. Mistake after mistake after mistake. You could argue Jake Stringer won the game for us by kicking 0.7 – at least half of those behinds should have been goals, and if even one had gone through we would have lost. But that’s why you don’t rely on Stringer in a big moment.
But a great win.

Our win today was largely driven by picks 9, 10 and 13.
There’s no Reid/Duursma standout this year.
