What a great day. My voice is absolutely wrecked after that. So much fun!
Couple of team things that stood out:
The forward line pressure was good to very good in parts. Everyone was chasing and harassing, not just the smalls
Guys were diving to smother or get a fist in to spoil
Saw some shepherds
When tippa came on,you could clearly see quite a few Essendon players on the ground clapping
Thought everyone cracked in hard when it was their turn
Some of the skills and kicking was very good, there was a lot of perfectly weighted kicks where guys didn’t have to break stride to mark

Finally Weekend at Bernies never to be shown again at Essendon. 5 years on repeat was too much to handle. Onward and upward now.
Big shoutout to Sam Mitchell for wasting one of his players in a tagging job.
When you’ve got a very limited 22 players, there’s nothing better than stopping one of them from trying to win the footy himself.

Great win - but a bottom 3 team.
The Pres should take the initiative and sack Kev from the board and one of Adrian or Josh.
Bring in new talent.
Clean sheet and we can move on.
He’s not the greatest backman of all time but credit to him for welcoming Tippa onto the ground with a pat on the back.

It’s been many, many years, and there will still be challenges to come. It’s ok though to breath out now. I can’t remember the last time I saw an Essendon team take to the field and play like that.

It would make me beyond happy if Hawthorn tanked for Harley Reid, and he came to us 2 years later because they were a basket case!

Yeah feel this way too, hawks supporters behind me said some pretty cool things when Walla came on, they were genuinely happy to see him back out there.
