Half way through the last an essendon fan stood up in the MCC members and started to give it to mitchell in the box by doing this and yelling get some of that into ya lol

  • Don’t know what the stats say but it definitely felt like our disposal, particularly our kicking, was far more polished than it has been recently. Martin and Perkins our best users by foot
  • On that note, I noticed that our rushed, hack kicks out of D50 always landed to our advantage, as if we’ve been coached where to put the ball in those situations
  • Kick-ins looked so much better
  • Hawks clearly had a game plan to rebound of half-back, we adjusted very well to it after quarter time
  • Kept them goalless for almost two quarters of game time
  • Thought we brought our best appetite for the contest since 2018. Pressure was relentless, stood up in tackles
  • The plan to bomb long to ~15m out was effective today but better teams will get a handle on that at times
  • The five minutes before Jiath’s goal in the second were diabolical, we should work on ironing out such periods
  • Parish was incredible, ditto our backs.
