And hooker absolutely stuffed things up by not spoiling as the spare defender - probably because he wanted the ball to spill out the back so he can pick up a cheap possession.
Itâs a bad habit that our taller defenders have developed this year.

How many times has it been left until the final quarter to move Hooker or someone? We need some one else in the box who can see it happening when it happens, that someone is not Woosha.

Hookerâs a gun on the last line, I donât think a few wobbles in a pretty wobbly team effort means we should chuck all of that out.

Not really no. Coaching was certainly slightly better but the reality is the playing group was down. A lot of poor turnovers under no pressure, players not getting to the right places, poor decision making.
We only lost by 4 points, they hardly belted us comprehensively.
Generally speaking, I hate it when coaches say that players should take it upon themselves to make the necessary changes on field during games. I die a little inside when ever coaches say it.

Yes we did only lose by four points but its the little things that count. Waiting to long to move Hooker when Hawthorn ran goals in the third quarter. Clarkson outsmarted our coaching box and that is how they outplayed us. As close as it was, it is still a loss, sadly.

You canât give cheap goals to Hawthorn and win. That why we didnât beat them and could have done so comfortably. Thatâs the story of yesterday.
It doesnât matter if you win by an inch or a mile winnings, winning. Same things with Blitz. Win by an inch and blitz is up and about. Lose by an inch and its sack the coach, sack the players and rebuild.
