Thought Red Dog was awesome today.
We won. ■■■■ yeah.
Like all-star game zero defence
Geez there was a lot of sooking in the match thread. Yes the umps were ■■■■, we weren’t perfect but Essendon games are so much easier to stomach if you don’t expect us to win. We got the monkey off our back, move forward and learn from it.
Pros:
Dev came on and had an immediate impact and played like we know he can
Nic Martin is going to be a star
Parish is back, great game from him
Draper was bullocking and worked well with Phillips
Hind has found some form again, he’s so much better when he hits the ball at pace
Redman looked much better.
Cons
Dyson was better but he’s unfortunately cooked
Our skills and decision making were questionabe at times
The umpiring, particularly Eleni, was pretty dogshit.
Is Ham, is bad.
Freo is all structure.
They will kill us.
Sometimes you just got to grit it out. We didn’t give up.
Umpiring on par with our defence through the corridor.
Port fans would be wrapt Crows lost
The Draper goal was magic. Hes getting some confidence back. Phillips was good again
Game of the round to watch.
Despite that one umpire blowing a squillion free kicks
Didnt enjoy the auskick umpires.
feels good to get a win.
Tex needs to do some homework on the club song😂
I’ll take the win.
It’s a whole lot better than a loss.
Effort was there, but skills errors are still hurting us way too much.
Excellent games from Martin, Perkins, Durham and 2MP. ditto for Parish.
Lots that needs fixing, but it’s a win and let’s see if they can build upon it.
Ham debate over
Master of the obvious here, but gee we’ve found one in Martin. Star.
and zero all stars.
( except 2MP and Marto )
We look a lot better with 2 rucks. Drapers work rate off the ball today was a big highlight
Was out the house so missed most of the match. Which quarter is worth watching?
Wanganeen had a crack trying to crash through.
None
Oh come on seriously. If we lost, any bits of confidence we still had left would have been destroyed and our ■■■■ would have properly fallen out.
