I’m not angry or emotional about today - it is what is. We’ve seen it all before, nothing new.
Drastic changes could have been made to tighten this game before or at least at qtr time. Adelaide kicked 5>6>7 goals in the first 3 qtrs.
To me Scott has backed in the team and plan to turn this game around - nothing changed, improvement didn’t happen. You can’t tell me levers couldn’t have been pulled to ensure this game doesn’t blow out.
Win, lose or draw - you take something out of the game. You reflect > learn > improve performances. I’m struggling to understand what we take out of that performance? We kept doing the same thing for the same result.
As for the players - kicking efficiency was under 60%. That’s a disgrace in comparison to the conditions. Preseason comms were that we have trained more with the footy than ever before. Skills has to be dissected and has to be a huge focus in the short to medium term.
The same goes for our entire field defence. Just how long until we become better defensively.
As I said, it’s the same issues (skills and defence) that are still plaguing us for the past 10 years.

There is absolutely no softer more meaningless pair of footballers in a backline that Reid and McKay.
They are a top drawer pair of useless players. Neither of them would get a game anywhere else.
Reid is one of the worst blokes I’ve seen on an AFL field.
