We’re not even that good. We’re the local park when I was growing up. A solid metal slide that you could cook an egg on in summer. A seesaw with no springs where one end could either be launched into the stratosphere or pile-driven into the ground (dependent on what the person/people on the other end was doing). Wooden swings on chains, that would either give you splinters in your arsse/back of your legs or blood blisters from nipping your hands.
And yet we kept on playing there because there was fark-all else.
That park is Essendon… absolutely farking useless, yet we were grudgingly bound to it…
Why are we getting spanked though?
I honestly struggle to understand it.
Durham, Caldwell and Merrett is a really solid midfield that seems to keep getting beaten.
Is it the rucks? Is it the coaching?
Doesnt make much sense to me.
Are you the dude next to my son and I with your kid last night that left the seat and half time and was furious at McKay for his inability to hit a target with a handball
Supporters need to stop turning up to games. This club completely takes us for granted. I know I’m losing interest, and I’m the only reason my son goes for us.
Ive legitimately never seen us win a final.
I came to the country in 2003, only started watching football in 2005.
I could have chosen any other club and seen some measure of success, but I chose the only 1 in 16 at the time that would have none.
Don’t think I’ll bother watching next week. Not on free to air and my mate who I usually watch games with (and has Kayo) will be away. I could use another mate’s Kayo, but right now I just can’t be ■■■■■■.
I said to my sister I should let my nephew give me a kick in the nuts for getting him to be an Essendon supporter.
Moving to the G is not just about getting big crowds but to improve our record of winning there and adapting to play in wendy/wet conditions Marvel has made us get use to play in perfect conditions all the time
