We started very well but handed them easy early goals with pathetic turnovers. We then dropped our bundle and lost all confidence which can easily happen. As much as we love Zach he stuffs up 30 per cent of his ball use . We are obsessed with handballing and short kicks. Our game plan if we have one, needs to change
I’d also add that it is horrible coaching to try and hide your best player and captain for long stretches of the game rather than figure out a way to bring him in to it.
But yes, he has banked many credits, but he used a ■■■■■■■ heaps of them tonight.
This Is Not Who We Are FC
I went to bed early and missed the 2nd half. Thank fark for that.
I blame aunty for the extended welcome to country . players struggled to stay awake after that
One of my great regrets in life is donating money about 35 years ago to help keep these fuckwads afloat.
we are essington
we are essington. Putrid insipid performance. Love watching the younger players Tiny ■■■■ Brad is forced to play, but had seen enough by quarter time last night.
Sorry - Brad has nk ideas about motivation techniques. He is a moron!
Everyone is focusing on the scoreboard.
Wrong numbers!
Our GPS stats were ![]()
That is coaching! It is a stupid plan or they are not listening to him and still don’t get dropped!
The one play that really stood out to me was when Caddy gave a hard lead and marked it on the wing, close to the half back line. Put his hands up for anyone to lead then had to kick it to like 5 free bulldogs. Checked blitz and some bloke had a go at Caddy over his field kicking … LOL. SACK SCOTT
I’m not angry, just very disappointed, and I think that sucks more
Well we are genuinely rebuilding.
Poorer opposition has tarted us up but really we are at where Richmond are.
Which means I think list management needs to perhaps get more brutal at year end.
Finishing 9th-14th isn’t going to serve us that well. Play the kids.
Are you? Cmon man. Our real talent in Caddy, Kako, Reid. Those boys won’t be great for another 30 games.
Bryan and Drapes we need them against top opposition. I thought English, Lobb etc destroyed us.
It’s very very difficult to beat the dogs around the ball. Almost impossible. So second possession becomes the most important element.
The opposition are just genuinely too good.
It doesn’t mean we don’t have the talent to eventually be better than them.
I think we still need a few. Not a lot but a few.
Certainly not 91 points worth of talent.
You can’t keep using Dodoro as a scapegoat when Scott is in his 3rd year
How did assess the list when he was interviewed for the job (assuming he was). I still think he’s an AFL plant.
It’s taken till his 3rd year to make any significant list changes
Don’t forget people we are on an 8 year plan.
Redman, Langford, Shiel, McGrath, and Zerrett all part of that team too… Hmmmmm…
We have a new list manager and have loaded up on draft picks.
It’s going to happen.
No coach in the league was getting the chocolates against the dogs last night and I guess you could argue the toss if there’s one who could have managed an “honourable loss” with our list.
I think a good old fashioned hammering was required.
Hate the term but it’s a genuine game of learnings.
I don’t mind the rebuild thing at all , but just playing all the kids every week regardless and having their induction into AFL getting flooged every week is not the right way to go about it . we are playing a young team and they need to feel competitive and taste a victory every now and then to drive them . you gotta play a team you think can can compete and win or get close to a win .
the players need to learn as much as we can from these sort of losses and move on quickly . we are not anywhere near contention at the moment and need to be realistic where we are at right now. last night was a reality check we needed after some soft wins against some teams that are worse than us
I think given the healthy cattle the best side was chosen.
Its just the way it is right now.
We’re also hard to ■■■■■■■ watch. If that’s our benchmark, I might just tap out.
