Because Carlton are junk, just playing above themselves at the moment.
Have 5 or so stars and then a lot of good honest players, nothing more.
Carlton had 15 AFL listed players in the reserves that day, we had 5. We beat them in the 2s
It would be quintessential Essington for the senior players to rally for a couple of meaningless wins.

We should have beaten GWS up there and they are in terrible form whilst we get most of our best 22 back. Its a big concern.

Spot on. We could still win another 4 games and end up with pick 2.
We wont win that many, just highlighting what can happen.
We also beat Melbourne and look what happened last week.
The venue is what changes that for me saints are far better at marvel and suits them better.

The word deserve gets used a lot when talking about Essendon.
We don’t deserve anything we need to earn.
Bit more accurate final quarter kicking early and who knows where that game would go.
Statistically, losing all bar one game for the season for a non expansion side hasnt happened this century. The odds are not with us.
It happened last year west coast only won one game

Our draw if we aren’t tight defensively screams 100 point loss potential.
