Richmond JOYRIDE thread - GIVE US PICK 1

Also just good luck(?). The dees won 4 games in 2012, 3 against expansion sides, and 2 games in 2013, 1 against and expansion side. So if you’re not counting early expansion sides, melbourne had back to back 1 win seasons. And of course the real team they beat in 2012 was… Essendon.

Hard to see us winning another game. Today is best chance and after that it will be further tragic.

McGrath. Fallen. That Is the word.

We nearly beat Carlscum. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Farking Tom Lynch. You’re ruining our joyride, you useless git.

West Coast at the MCG is hopefully the breakthrough.

Might sneak one past the Saints who are a genuine rabble at the moment.

Got to say I dont know how to enjoy the joy ride

can we trade for a future first again?

Now Melbourne death ride…that was the good old days.

We arent winning any more games so think this joyride is complete.

Lynch is the reason they are even in the picture for pick 1.

I’m nervous about today and definitely Port.
Port won’t want to win either unless their position can’t change.
Sad to be cheering on more losses

Ill never cheer on a loss, I hope we win more games, i just know wont

Unless we deliberately tank, I think we will win one or two.
Today possible.

The saddest thing for me is that we are playing way below potential.
If we are being coached to get pick 1. So be it, but more likely I feel our performances are profoundly influenced by our incapable coaching.

Not having a go at you and I feel we are coached pretty poorly but we currently have a bottom 4 list and not sure the best coach in the whole comp could get us many more wins. In a couple of years when we have really overhauled the list then hopefully we start seeing some massive improvement

What evidence have you seen to support this? What is it now, 1 win in the past 28?

Every chance to we go the rest of the season without a win.

I dont think our list is bottom 4 but certainly needs improvement. If we ■■■■ off Ridley, Parish and Merrett and hope to get multiple second rounders then it improves. We get pick #1, Justice and then bewick next year (hopefully turning our 2nd rounders this year into to points for next year).

I dont know the rules with the draft anymore, if we have enough to trade for Port or Carlton’s early picks so they get their FS picks.

Plus with Hird coming on, we will have more of a chance of attracting FAs, plus someone like how Lions got Hodge to fast-track development.

We have zero chance of winning today and maybe a 5% chance of winning any more games as we are poorly coached. We play a slow build up game and still somehow get killed on the rebound despite not committing too many players forward to “protect” the defence. Solomon sits in the box like a stunned Mullet and despite being able to connect with players (apparently) he still cant get them to run back on defence.

Looks pretty bottom 4 to me.

Just as a matter of interest, which teams do you think have worse lists than us?

I see us with one A grader (Merrett), somewhere between 5 and 10 B+, and the rest Bs and Cs.

No elites.

Given you can only match with a max of 2 picks now, this is highly highly unlikely (unless we somehow get a bunch of early to mid firsts)

I hope they all leave this year. But there’s no planet where replacing them with second rounders immediately improves our list. It’d further cement our list as bottom 4.

For the future? Quite possibly, but that’s not what was being spoken about is it?
