Who doesn’t?

I wouldn’t be investing in ruck though anyway until we sort many other things first

Essendon player slips over gets dived on by a hawls player in the back HTB

Joke umpiring

Since when does the insufficient effort out of bounce rule only apply to one team?

A lot of arrogance in those short arse dawks. Doing the time for bed goal celebration early third quarter was cocky. Looking forward to that ■■■■ coming back to bite them.

I feel like I’m picking on you.

Bryan is 23, Meek and Draper are both 26.
Meek only started playing good, consistent footy last year.

If you’re not prepared to take some pain whilst young players develop, then we’ll never improve.

Have either ever played forward.
At least Ridley has.

Hawks player slips over, free kick Hawthorn

I like ruckman who have size guys like Gawn Draper etc rucks thay dont get pushed to the side

They aren’t as good as they think they are. We matched them after quarter time and we are average.

What about a stable environment? Surely you’d want us to spend a lot of time talking about stability?

I’m so done with McGrath. I cannot believe there are still people who defend him. It’s got nothing to do with not living up to Number One pick expectations, he just hates contact. It is the entire reason why he hooks his kicks or just dumps it and why his midfield experiment was a fail. To top it off his skills are ordinary by hand and by foot even in space.

I actually thought Bryan went okay in Ruck against Meek, better than I thought he would.

I’d be interested in other Blitzers opinion on this ?

He was putrid needs to be dropped early statment needs to be made that those efforts wont get you a game

We also fakred his development by turning him into a mid

Bloke won the rising star and looked to be a gun hbf all becuase dodo refused to draft proper mids

Redman into the middle to tag the opposition tagger was the biggest head scratcher since Courtney John’s at full back. Gresh starting as the sub was a terrible, inexcusable call. The backline was all at sea in the first quarter, just as @Windy_Dill had said to anyone who would listen for a fortnight.

A bunch of senior guys were flat out terrible, McKay McGrath and shiel embarrassed themselves. Perkins was on track to join them but showed up at half time.

Prior didn’t win a single contest he had to win, very clear why he wasn’t part of Brisbane’s plans.

Caldwell will blow a fuffa valve carrying the rest of the team that hard.

Roberts plats with an intensity that should make his leaders ashamed.

Tsatas worked his way into the game but without much impact. Hobbs was sat in the naughty quarter away from stoppages most of the night for reasons but his willingness to attack the contest with venom created chances.

Draper battled away and should have earned a few frees in front of goal but needs to take the easy option now and then.

Bryan stood up ok. Ditto Jones.

A bunch of our guys looked off the pace. There little doubt that not playing last week hurt our prep for this game.

We hung around and stayed in the contest better than I expected honestly which is not nothing but ultimately we simply have nowhere near enough class, footy IQ and commitment to the contest to threaten good teams. I’m still not convinced but Hawthorn. Our coaches gifted them a massive head start.

Losing rids should mean that the Redman midfield experiment is abandoned but of course 3 tall defenders would actually be useful next week. Langford out for a month should mean we get a good look at Edwards.

We should 100% be prioritizing getting a look at Seh and Johnson at half back asap. But we won’t.

I have not checked any stats but it seemed to me most of the goals Hawthorn kicked from CB were when Bryan was attending the ruck contest. Not sure if he took any “real” contested marks. I really wanted Draper in the CB in the last quarter when we were a sneaky chance of a comeback.

We cannot give Draper a 5+ year deal.

History says these come back to bite Essendon in the ass.

Parish, McKay and Wright have not all lived up to their deals.

Only Merrett has earned the bag.

We were better than I expected…fought on til the end.

But I shudder at the next month without Langford. I wouldn’t expect a win until West Coast.

I agree with nearly everything expect the Draper and Bryan we need more out of them
