Given we lost I was still happy cause we were good in the second half and it was a good game. Effort was there and lots of good to come.

farken bunch of sooks, was always going to be a slow start against a team that shook out the cobwebs the week before, beat them in nearly every statistical category, and beat them on the scoreboard after our slow start. Round zero needs to go.

I have never seen worse disposal from Merrett at least four handballs at players feet.
McGrath lost me tonight, he was terrible.

What a brutal round.
Our kicking and speed when attacking is quite bad. We just can’t defend… in the air or on the ground. This is our biggest weakness. We need to get speedy good kicking players in, and competing defenders.
Injuries to Langford, Ridley, Parish and Wright… that is a curse… our high profile extensions.
In the past when we get belted there is no effort. Here lot of efforts are there… that is what kept us coming and stayed in the game.

Huge issue is that Dodoro’s drafting was basically without any strategy. Far too many guys who have no discernible weapon, best position or can’t use the ball well enough.
Hawthorn clearly draft for kicking skills as their main priority.

Sicily’s delivery was a stark contrast to that of McKay and Reid. Reid is a good kick but didn’t show it tonight.
langford was crap, drop sitters that went flying back the other way, cross him out and put a kid with guts and some IQ in in Roberts
