Not enough of his type last year, too many of his type this year.

Iā€™m not under estimating the Hawks. I still think they are a top 4 team and if we can beat them Iā€™ll be tickled pick ie. very drunk.

They have a lot of A grade talent, good depth and experience. Iā€™m glad we have them first up as anything can happen early in the year. Still Iā€™m tipping us to run out of legs but hold on to win by 3points. Passion will be high and our attack on the ball relentless!!!

See, thereā€™s the thing, champ. I canā€™t block you anymore.

Hawthornā€™s lack of a Jordan Lewis type player will cost them this game.

Meanwhile one of our forwards is going to kick 5 goals.

8 Outs from that game
Melksham, Hibberd, Cooney, Chapman, Gwilt, Carlisle, Ashby, Bellchambers

8 Possible ins:
MacKernan, McGrath, Kelly, Fantasia, Green, Stewart, Tippa. Parish, Langford.

So evaluating changes:
McKernan<Bellchambers (although 2015 Belly wasnā€™t too special)
Parish>Melksham
McGrath>Ashby (will be true ultimately)
Langford >Cooney (Cooney wasnā€™t bad at that stage)
Kelly>Gwilt
Fantasia>Chapman
Stewart<Carlisle (is this the right question? Maybe Hartley < Carlisle but not by as much?
and the question that wasnā€™t asked Walla > Hibberd (albeit in different roles we assume, and Walla definitely winning if he can be an effective forward).

And another way of looking at it:

Ess forwards ? > than Haw forwards
Ess backs ? > than Haw back
Ess mids ? > than Haw mids

If this is true (which it may or may not be) and we gel:

Oh what a night!

Hibberd is an out and out gun. Walla is good but not Hibbo good yet.

Hibberd was an out and out gun. By the time he left us he was nowhere near it. Can he get back to that level? Will a new team help? Was it just sage fatigue? Have injuries taken a toll?

Even if Hibberd hadnā€™t asked for a trade there is still the possibility that weā€™d be looking for a replacement for Hibberd anyway.

Especially because he injured himself last week (?)

Really?

Could he be a one year wonder like McPhee. Who I saw today, that guy doesnā€™t know how to pick a crown he is in!

If Tippa doesnā€™t bulldoze JOMā€™s teeth out at the first bounce Iā€™m ripping Wimmeria1ā€™s ā– ā– ā– ā–  off.

Heā€™s already played more top quality football than McPhee ever did.

He was a spud at times, and to be honest we werenā€™t flying up much in 2004, but he did snag a Crichton. We managed to get some good games out of him before he went and stabbed us in the back.

Whereā€™s the team?
