They play man-on-man. That’s their game plan. It’s a great game plan throughout the season, because it keeps you competitive throughout the season & makes every player accountable every week……… it just doesn’t stand up in finals. It’s as simple as that.
So I will continue to push back on anyone who says that’s what we must do. It simply won’t win us a premiership. Brisbane won’t win a premiership with Fagan as coach.

it’s something brisbane seem to continue to struggle with, for all the good they can do during the season, when finals type heat is applied, they crumble pretty easily under that pressure.

Essendon played 1v1 last week i think.
Considering how crap we are at zone defending and applying any kind of pressure 1v1 is the way to go.
Even if its just to teach the fundementals of staying with your man and wining the contest im down for it.
