Essendon played 1v1 last week i think.

Considering how crap we are at zone defending and applying any kind of pressure 1v1 is the way to go.

Even if its just to teach the fundementals of staying with your man and wining the contest im down for it.

If we spend 2 years on the bottom 3, but it wins us a premiership…. It’s worth the pain.

Man on man is outdated and doesn’t stand up in finals. If we continue down the man on man path, we won’t win that final that you keep bringing up.

Agree about man vs man i just think its a good starting place to teach defending once the players master the art of beating thier opponent we can start to go a more zone type set up
