I can see it now. We will play FC on Thursday night and will be one game out of the 8 and have to play our make or break game only 4 days later.
The week after the round is a bye, no reason us and suns play thu and fri, then each other the following Wednesday
I hope the club would refuse that. At least playing GC, we’re playing another club that has already just played a game not a team fresh off a week’s break.
Meh, if we are good enough it shouldn’t matter.
But also, I don’t think we are good enough that it will matter.
Lol yeah that’s a fair assessment I reckon!
Solutions that involve re-scheduling multiple other games are non-starters.
I honestly think this is one of the least worst options.
This might be the first time the floating fixture past round 16 is actually useful…
If we play every old guy, scrape into the 8, lose a final, and have a bunch of unresolved questions around the youth of the squad that is a wank season.
Is every old guy, like just…Goldstein?
So we have 2 games in round 24 in a ‘floating round’. The AFL just does my head in these days, imagine another competition having TBD date and time for the back chunk of the fixture, and now 2 teams having 2 games in one round.
What makes it funny is now the cyclone sounds like it’s softening and slowing. The surfers are loving it, those guys are real adrenaline junkies.
I would say most old guys aren’t 6’7’’
Very optimistic that you think our season won’t be over by round 15.
Genius foresight not to have all these teams have the bye at the same time.
I don’t mind it. Play the match in the weekend of the pre finals bye and get some momentum going into the finals series.
Opponents wouldn’t have played for two weeks.
He’s right. It’s the most compromised solution of the lot. There is not one scenario that has full integrity.
From all of us in firing line, ■■■■ you.
■■■■ you right back.
We just know that someone will get a concussion and will be forced to miss a final because of this.
I figured it was because the AFL is trying to take a bigger piece of the gambling revenue pie and the media companies (ie Gamblor) won’t have that
Nah : Can’t deal.
