I can see it now. We will play FC on Thursday night and will be one game out of the 8 and have to play our make or break game only 4 days later.

I hope the club would refuse that. At least playing GC, we’re playing another club that has already just played a game not a team fresh off a week’s break.

If we play every old guy, scrape into the 8, lose a final, and have a bunch of unresolved questions around the youth of the squad that is a wank season.

So we have 2 games in round 24 in a ‘floating round’. The AFL just does my head in these days, imagine another competition having TBD date and time for the back chunk of the fixture, and now 2 teams having 2 games in one round.
What makes it funny is now the cyclone sounds like it’s softening and slowing. The surfers are loving it, those guys are real adrenaline junkies.

I don’t mind it. Play the match in the weekend of the pre finals bye and get some momentum going into the finals series.
Opponents wouldn’t have played for two weeks.
He’s right. It’s the most compromised solution of the lot. There is not one scenario that has full integrity.
