Terrific!  What position do you play in?

It's hard to say were good things against any side at the moment, but geez this game should really run us into some form.

St.Kilda had at least been playing reasonable footy when they rolled us, but Brisbane just plain stink at the moment.

Would leave both Merretts in the side, probably only swap Winders for Ambrose.

Is Kav a chance to come in?

No. Nob might be. Kav seemed to be on managed minutes, 1st game in a month.

My guess…

Out: Winderlich (knee), J Merrett (soreness)

In: Hardingham, Gleeson

B: Fletcher Hurley Baguley

HB: Dempsey Hooker Hibberd

C: Gleeson Watson Stanton

HF: Zaharakis Daniher Goddard

F: Hardingham Carlisle Chapman

R: Ryder Hocking Heppell

I'll be heading up for my first interstate game, also perfectly coincides with my 30th b'day.

Any good pubs to head to before the game for a feed and about 20 pots?

There are plenty of pubs around the gabba.

The Australian National club is a great pub. Had a make over but still pretty cool.

For something different try the Brisbane German club on Vulture street. Really good.

I know from past experience that teams often go there after a game for functions.

you named hardy instead of aylett - Freudian maybe

until tbell is up and firing hardy remains our next best 3 marking option.

Go to the Pinapple Hotel. Short cab ride and about as AFL as you can get up here.

Sod VFL form, bring in Big Tom, and consider very strongly Gleeson and possibly Ambrose.

Looks like it'll be wet weather footy Saturday.

:(  oh dear

Bandwagon taking on passengers. That's two of us.

I just think his inclusion would stop those rumours of a rift.

Too many bad blues on the weekend. Won't be his week this week.

As we turn our attention to Brisbane this week it is important we realise that despite the Lions sitting last on the ladder there is no side in this competition that has the right to win.
You have to earn a win, so we are looking forward to heading up to Brisbane and doing just that. Earn a win by playing ‘The Essendon Way‘.

Exactly right Craigy. Hope our playing group and some of our supporters have the same mindset before heading into this game. Need to right the wrongs of the recent past... St Kilda game anybody?
As for the forecast for Brisbane...

"Possible shower" does not mean torrential downpours and wet weather football. Hope the forecast maximum of 24°C doesn't interfere with Essendon's optimum playing temperature of 16.17891°C ... we saw the negative results of this when we played in Perth.
